Be inspired by educational pioneer, researcher and author of Guided Inquiry Design, Leslie Maniotes on her very first Australian Tour!
We want our students to think critically, make informed decisions and know how to use the information available to learn new information and ideas, in order to create new knowledge.
Nothing motivates students more than their own curiosity! Inquiry-based learning gives K-12 students voice and choice in learning that sparks deeper understanding and engagement. In this seminar Leslie will introduce you to Guided Inquiry Design (GID), an instructional design framework for inquiry based learning inspired by the research from Prof. Carol Kuhlthau at Rutgers University.
Launch your students on a path to asking their own questions and building on their curiosities and interests across all subject areas. Learn best practices to keep students engaged in their learning.
This seminar will be of interest to K-12 teachers, librarians, school executive, curriculum directors, heads of department and collaborative learning teams.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be eligible for 5 hours of NESA endorsed credit of professional learning.
For your convenience this course is aligned to AITSL National Standards for Teachers and meets the requirements for Teacher identified Professional Learning in the following states as outlined below:
